A time piece on the wrist for 150 years in the future.
This project was my submission to the Timex 2154 competition. The brief of the competition was to design a time piece on the wrist for 150 years in the future. I concentrated on the idea that time is about physical change. Evidence of time can be measured by the deterioration of material which is connected to the change of physical form. I also wanted to integrate the idea of light and shadow. I liked the idea that there is a connection between the sun and the individual through the sundial. Reading a sundial relates your position with the sun, connecting you to the center of the solar system. Much like how sundials are read through shadow, the Watch Time Change is read by the shadow produced, either by the projection or retraction of the numbers, letters and symbols.
